The contrast between white and black is often used to represent spiritual and emotional states, negative and positive attitudes, moral and psychological oppositions. Each of us carries these extremes within us and strives to maintain a balance between them, to mitigate or conceal the suffering and pain we experience in our lives.
Modern communication in person and on social networks is characterized by concealing one's own experiences and gliding on the surface of the ultimate rejection of other people's opinions and understandings. It often reaches the point of cursing and slandering others, even if they are complete strangers to us.
The curator's intention is to provoke the artists included in the exhibition to present through their works the ups and downs experienced by each of them personally, during the particularly difficult situations of recent years. The artists are also invited through their works to give their individual interpretations and analyses of extreme internal mental states that a person falls into during their existence in the modern world today.
